Weekly pay means 52 paychecks per year, bi-weekly means 26, semi-monthly means 24, and monthly means 12. Bi-weekly is most common in the United States. While more frequent pay periods result in smaller individual paychecks, your annual take-home pay remains the same regardless of pay frequency, assuming consistent tax withholdings.
